Introducing Beth Christopher:
- Creative Movement for Kids on Mondays from 3:30-4:30 (ages 5-8)

Creative Movement for Kids on Mondays from 4:30-5:30 (ages 8-10)
(1/23-2/27 6 wks $79) Through dance children learn what their bodies can do, what strength and energy they have and how to move using time, rhythm, tempo, direction, space, size and level. Creative dance help students feel respect, learn concentration, and master self discipline. Class work based on the work of Mary Joyce and Paula Bliss.
Mr. C. (Curtis Caudill) is adding:
- Dance Acrobatix for Teens on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 (Tuition) Learn to perform extraordinary feats of balance, agility and motor coordination. Acrobatics is an excellent supplement to any dance form or athletic pursuit. Challenge yourself and have some fun in this dynamic and supportive class. No experience required. Safe tumbling lanes with excellent supervision and emphasis on correct form.
Melissa Palumbo is adding:
- Pre-Ballet on Tuesdays (ages 3 1/2 - 5) from 10:15-11:00 (Tuition) Structured and imaginative introduction to ballet for ages 3-5. Dancers learn the basic positions and steps of ballet, while creating stories through movement and learning correct movement patterns. Dancers must be able to focus attentively to the instructor for the full 45 minutes and be able to dance without mom, dad or caregivers in the studio.
- Adult/Teen Hip-Hop on Thursdays at 6:30-7:30 (Introductory rate $40 for 4 classes in January) Hip Hop dance for teens and adults is a fun way to get moving in style, while learning musicality and dance technique. No experience required. Hip-Hop includes various moves such as breaking, popping, locking and krumping. Improvisation and personal interpretation are part of what make Hip Hop dance so much fun!
- Pre-School Dance, Music & Art on Fridays from 9:30-12N (1/27-3/2 6 wks $130 -- ages 3 1/2 - 5 yrs) Storybook themes to engage and delight your budding artist. Activities include dance, music, puppetry and art to encourage your child’s imagination. The class culminates with the class creating an original fairy tale and mini performance for parents & friends on the last day.
- Adult/Teen Tap on Fridays at 5:30-6:30 (Introductory rate $40 for 4 classes in January) Rhythm, style, fun! If you are an experienced tapper or a beginner, this mixed level class has something for everyone. Adult tap is new at IAD. Come make music with your feet!
Diana Rose is adding:
- Beginning Ballet on Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 (Introductory rate $40 for 4 classes in January) Ballet for the beginning adult student with little or no ballet training. Learn ballet terminology and fine tune placement, posture and technique. Begin to add arm movements (port de bras) with leg work and add a new dimension of coordination when ready to prepare for Beg/Int Ballet. A great place to start if you have had some ballet lessons, but still consider yourself a beginner or if you are new to ballet and have always wanted to start.
