AUDITIONS FOR NUTCRACKER 2012
SATURDAY SEPTMEBER 8TH
10-11:30 INT/ADV Adults & Level IV +
11:30-12N Pointe Adults & Level IV +
12:15-1:00 Ballet II-III
1:15-2:00 Ballet Basics - Ballet I
2:15-3:00 Adults & Teens OPEN (Beginners & those with little or no ballet experience)

If you are not a student of the Academy and would like to know which audition to attend, please contact the office.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your audition time to receive your number and fill out paperwork.
It is essential that a PARENT fill out required paperwork ENTIRELY for dancers under 18 to attend the audition.
If your child will be dropped off at the audition, please make sure you attain the required paperwork from the office in advance. Dancers with incomplete or unsigned paperwork will NOT be permitted to audition.

AUDITION FEE
$20 INT/ADV ADULT/TEEN  (NO FEE FOR COMPANY DANCERS)
$15 ALL OTHERS

PRODUCTION FEE & CONTRACT (DUE UPON ACCEPTANCE)
$200 (non-refundable)
+ $75 deposit for costume/ad placement/volunteer hrs. (will be returned after production - if contract is fulfilled).
Limited scholarships, partial scholarships and work/study credits available. Please return application PRIOR to audition day.
All adult dancers and children in the party scene may purchase 10 tickets for family and friends in lieu of Production fee.

VOLUNTEER HOURS 
A MINIMUM of 20 hours of volunteer hours per family involved in Nutcracker
IN ADDITION to ushering or working in the lobby for a MINIMUM of one show.
Volunteer jobs will be assigned based on interest and availability and will be discussed at the first mandatory meeting.
Volunteer hours may be negoitiable for performing adults.

MANDATORY PARENT/ADULT DANCER MEETINGS
Failure to attend meeting(s) may result in loss of deposit and forfeit dancers participation.
Meeting 1: Sat. 9/15 12:15-1:30
Meeting 2: Sat. 10/13 3:15-4:30
Meeting 3: Sat. 11/10 3:15-4:30

REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will begin the week of September 22nd. Most rehearsals will be held on the weekends through the production.
All additional dress rehearsals, etc. will be available with the parent paperwork due prior to the audition.

Gorgeous dancing, beautiful costumes and entertainment the whole family will enjoy! International Academy of Dance presents the full-length ballet at Cabrillo's new state of the art Crocker Theater. Internationally acclaimed principal dancers, Tricia Albertson & Didier Bramaz from the Miami City Ballet, grace the stage in the roles of Sugar Plum Fairy & Cavalier. These ballet etoiles dance alongside IAD Company members, students of the Academy and local dance artists for an afternoon sure to leave lasting memories and sugarplums dancing in your head!
