Welcome to International Academy of Dance, where we... Dance for the Joy of It!

Adult & Children's classes in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary/Hip-Hop, Tap, Zumba, Pilates & Belly Dance.

We are proud to offer a spacious state of the art facility with sprung floors and the same Marley dance surface used by the Royal Ballet. IAD provides the highest caliber training in a comfortable and encouraging atmosphere. Many of our instructors have been successfully training and coaching professional dancers in Santa Cruz for over 20 years. 

International Academy of Dance Director and Staff consider physical, mental and emotional wellness to be of utmost importance. We believe everyone can enjoy the benefits of dance classes from the three year old pre-ballet student to the pre-professional dancer or adult student looking for an enjoyable way to exercise.

All IAD students are encouraged to develop their style, artistry and individuality, while remaining true to the dance form studied.

We believe healthy, fortified bodies and strong muscles are essential for dance and in life. Our staff encourage healthy dietary habits and exercise. On-site Pilates mat classes are encouraged for dancer safety, education, alignment and strength.

We offer three state of the art dance studios with sprung floors to reduce injury and fatigue.

Ample stage opportunities include Nutcracker and a large scale production in June, as well as our new Emerging Choreographers Showcase and in house workshops & presentations.
